Funny Bones Comedy Nights have been happening every Tuesday since February 2010, which means that Funny Bones has graced Cape Town with a regular Tuesday comedy evening for close to a year now. The success of the show has spread throughout Cape Town and the comedy industry, that another Cape Town Comedy Club has opened on Tuesday – Trinity Comedy Nights.
Trinity Comedy Nights started two months ago. Trinity is a super club that has a very large capacity and have just recently delved into stand-up comedy on Tuesday nights. Although the venue itself is very young, the comedy nights at Trinity have already had some great acts perform at their stage including Rob Van Vuuren, Martin Davis and Paul Snodgrass – all of which have already graced the Funny Bones Comedy stage at Purple Turtle.
We can now add Trinity Comedy Nights to the list of regular venues hosting comedy in Cape Town and if you haven’t seen that list CLICK THIS LINK and for a review of some of the other comedy clubs in Cape Town CLICK HERE

So apparently Joburg is going to be facing some serious floods, and the Thswane Municipality has kindly issued some tips for the Joburgers over this trying period. Below are the tips that they provided. I found them on a TIMES LIVE article, very riveting stuff: (I’ve added my own personal thoughts in brackets)
“Ahead of the heavy downpour, the Tshwane municipality issued some flooding tips.
- Do not to walk, swim or drive through flooded areas. Avoid low bridges,

... But they say nothing about body boarding... yay!
- if a car stalls in a flooded area, do not stay in it, (just leave it there for the hijackers)

- fill all ditches with mud, grass or gravel, (what is grass going to do. It can’t grow that quickly and I’ve never known a marijuana ditch to stop a flood… seriously)
- make sure your house entrance is higher than the surrounding ground, (i.e Anyone with a basement… is FUCT)
- store food and valuables on a higher level like shelves, tables and chairs, (I guess I need to move all the food I’ve stored under my table…)
- fill containers with clean water in case regular supplies are contaminated, (I would suggest that you all start buying shares in Evian… stocks are going to go through the roof)
- prepare an emergency kit with essential belongings in the event of an evacuation, (Entourage Season 7…check)
- remain in contact with neighbours and take turns to monitor the water level, (“Shotgun monitoring the water level on Monday” *sarcasm*)
- keep the radio on and listen to warnings. (of what… “It’s still raining”… ??, plus Radio is so 60′s, Twitter is better)
- Residents should also keep emergency numbers safe. (Take your emergency numbers off the wall or refrigerator and store them on.. THE CEILING???)”
Make sure you all stay safe during the upcoming flood season… I know that these tips above are ‘pearls’ *sarcasm* but just look after yourselves before you end up like this:
