Giggle Gaggle Comedy Night (Tulbagh)
Win a great comedy and wine experience
On Saturday 5th February 2011, the Giggle Gaggle Comedy Festival graces the picturesque wine region of Tulbagh yet again for another uproariously entertaining evening of comedy. Since the first sold out show in 2010, Mumz The Word, Saronsberg Wine Estate and Tulbagh hotel are excited to welcome back visitors and locals to the Saronsberg Theatre for another memorable comedy night.
The line-up will include Dugald Pieterse as host, who became an immediate hit with the Saronsberg audience when he hosted the last Giggle Gaggle Comedy Night with his abundance of experience and classic material. He will be hosting a line-up that includes Mum-z, Peter Sserwanga, Werner Weber and Mel Jones.

The open spot for the evening will be Peter Sserwanga who had been in comedy for under a year but has already performed all over Cape Town and PE. This PE born comedian was the 2010 Graca Comedy Underground winner and thus got a chance to perform at the 2010 Nandos Comedy Festival. His material is intelligent and witty and he is a great opening act for the evening.
Werner Weber will be a support act for the evening. This comedian has run various comedy evenings all over Cape Town including the comedy evenings at the Brass Bell in Kalk Bay and the News Café comedy nights in Tableview. He has hosted comedy evenings at both the Funny Bones Comedy Nights at the Purple Turtle in Cape Town, Jokers Comedy Club and more. His presence in the show will bring a very exciting component of quality to the show.
The other support act for the festival will be Mum-z, the founder and editor of Mumz The Word. This young, up and coming comedian has already performed at the Blacks Only comedy festival 3 times, Real Heavyweight Comedy Jam twice, the Nandos Comedy Festival, Grace Comedy Showdown, Arts Alive 2007, Soweto Comedy Festival and many more. His high energy and twisted sense of humour will add a refreshing element to the evening.
The headliner for the show will be Mel Jones whose experience and material makes her one of the best comediennes in South Africa. Her performance at the 2010 Blacks Only comedy night in Cape Town reminded audience members that she is still one of the best live entertainers in the country and she will be the perfect closer for a night of comedy.
